These are Superior Anti-Inversion Extended shackles are suitable for the front of the MQ Nissan Patrol with a 2" inch lift.

Superior Engineering shackles feature an anti-inversion design to stop the springs being damaged when the shackles are hit into obstacles.

NOTE: 3-degree caster wedges should also be purchased and fitted in the front when using extended shackles.

Extended shackles have 2 purposes, one is to give you more height and the other is to assist in wheel travel. The longer a shackle is the more wheel travel you will get, dependent on such factors as spring design and shock length.

Superior Engineering Extended shackles come with Greasable High Tensile Pins that are Case Hardened, they are coated in a 7 part process SA5 Anti-Corrosion Zinc finish, approx 2 inch over standard in height and the pins are pressed and welded to create the strongest extended shackle on the market!

One other major benefit of a Superior Engineering Shackle is you don't need to purchase special size bushes as we have retained the factory size pins so you standard bushes will fit them and you can source your bushes from anywhere.

Superior Engineering is the only Company that incorporates the welded pins into our design and this totally stops any sideways flexing that ultimately will lead to the shackle failure and premature wear of the shackle plates and they also incorporate the 'Step Bolt' design so the shackles can be properly tightened to ensure the exact tolerance between the bushes in maintained.

Front and rear shackles are the same.

Sold as a pair (one end of a vehicle, eg either front or rear).

Hi, I am Mick from Superior Engineering.

Today I want to show you our new seventy-six series extended shackles.

There is a few great things about these shackles, one is we use ten-millimetre steel.

Standard shackles are only six-millimetre steel, so these are a lot stronger and they really have to be because we are going extended, so they're about two inches longer than factory.

We do an SA5 zinc coating on them, so you can go to the beach or where ever you want to go and they're not going to go rust on you.

We use high tensile eighteen-millimetre pins here so they will take the standard bushes.

Grease nipples we have, so obviously your suspension moves nice and smoothly.

In the back of it, there is an anti-inversion bolt.

Now that bolt there is to actually stop your suspension travelling too far if you back your vehicle upon say a LandCruiser and hit a stump or something there is the opportunity your shackle will go too far and bend your springs.

That will actually stop that happening.
