Sunland dashmats are specially engineered to suit each vehicles dashboard, starting with a heat-moulded PVC backing that exactly conforms to the shape of the dashboard - no mean feat considering the complex contours and added features that manufacturers incorporate into what used to be a basic shape made from vinyl, leather or plastic. This backing is covered in a proprietary woven blend of modacrylic fibres, a modern copolymer otherwise known as protex, chosen for its thermal stability, resilience against UV damage and resistance to mildew. While durable and tear resistant, the weave is also soft to touch, readily takes to dyeing, has high breathability and is noted for its moisture-wicking ability.
