The Maxxair MAXXFAN Deluxe 7000ki exhaust fan is a fantastic upgrade for seasoned RV enthusiasts and offers plenty of functions for full-time vanlifers, caravanners and tiny homes on wheels. Maxxair MAXXFAN Deluxe 7000ki exhaust fan is the most popular choice for campers for very good reasons, as we wil highlight below.
Airflow:
The airflow capabilities of a roof vent fan are the major reason you buy one for your camper van or RV, and the MAXXFAN Deluxe 7000ki exhaust fan certainly delivered. The 7000ki model described here, like most Maxxair MAXXFAN Deluxe versions, has a 10-speed motor that can be operated in either direction. It's difficult to top the MAXXFAN Deluxe 7000ki exhaust fans extensive variety of options for fine-tuning fan speed. We've personally installed a MAXXFAN Deluxe 7000ki exhaust fan into a Toyota Commuter and have been happy with it's continued high quality fuction. We occasionally found ourselves rapidly venting steam or smoke when cooking inside the camper van on the maximum setting, which was fantastic for swiftly getting fresh air into the vehicle.
The lower setting is suitable for nighttime use. Anything under 4 produced enough of airflow within our Toyota Commuter, but it was quiet enough not to be a bother. Finally, the ability to modify the fan's direction was really handy. We utilised it as an exhaust vent while cooking, as mentioned above, and shifting directions provided a house-fan-like sensation with some nice airflow. Overall, we were pleased with the MAXXFAN Deluxe 7000ki exhaust fan.
Controls:
Maxxair kept the controls for the MAXXFAN Deluxe 7000ki exhaust fan basic and easy to use, with only five buttons in total. A power button, two fan speed buttons, one for controlling the thermostat, and another for changing the direction of the motor may all be found on the bottom side of the roof vent fan. The thermostat was the only one that required a few tries to get right, but after reading the manual, it made perfect sense. Overall, the MAXXFAN Deluxe 7000ki exhaust fan controls and remote are simple to locate, operate, and comprehend.
Energy:
Calculating our energy requirements was one of the most time-consuming aspects of van life. It is not terribly difficult, but it does take time. Fortunately, Maxxair MAXXFAN Deluxe 7000ki exhaust fan uses very little electricity at its lower settings while still moving enough air. Waterproofing:
The huge rain shield is one of the nicest features of the MAXXFAN Deluxe 7000ki exhaust fan and it helps when making the decision to rank the MAXXFAN Deluxe 7000ki exhaust fan our favourite roof vent fan. The rain dome allows the the Maxxair Deluxe's vent to remain open and operational even while it is raining outside. Perhaps it's because of our location in raint QLD, we place a high value on this trait. However, if you're short on room on your roof, it's worth noting that the Maxxair's rain shield is a little larger than smaller models, taking up a little more real estate.
We're delighted to report that the MAXXFAN Deluxe 7000ki exhaust fan has been trouble-free for more than two years and thousands of miles of regular use. It has operated brilliantly in all kinds of weather, from hot 100-degree days to temperatures in the teens. All of the buttons work as they should, the fan doesn't make any strange noises, and the huge rain cover is free of cracks. Most importantly, there have been no leaks—leaks are more likely due to faulty installation than the fan itself. Overall, we've had no problems with the MAXXFAN Deluxe 7000ki exhaust fan and have no reservations in recommending it. The Maxxair MAXXFAN Deluxe fans all have the same basic set of features: they include a rain cover that allows them to be used in the rain, they are available in white or smoke colours, and they have comparable control layouts. The Maxxair MAXXFAN Deluxe 7000Ki is high on our top roof vent fan list for a reason. The premium 7000Ki has all of the features of the manual models plus a remote control for adjustments from bed, and an electric lift for those with hard-to-reach fans. It also features a thermostat that can be set to your desired temperature, so when it senses a temperature change it can adjust speeds.
